Voice-to-SOAP Documentation Workflow

Complete guide to using Morgan's voice transcription to generate SOAP notes in under 3 minutes per patient encounter.

1

Start a voice session

From the patient's chart, click 'New Note' and select 'Voice Dictation.' Morgan activates your microphone and begins listening. You can speak naturally — Morgan understands medical terminology, abbreviations, and physical therapy-specific language.

2

Dictate your clinical findings

Describe the patient encounter as you normally would: subjective complaints, objective measurements, assessment of progress, and plan for next visit. Morgan automatically structures your dictation into SOAP format, mapping content to the correct sections.

3

Review and edit the generated note

Morgan presents the structured SOAP note with highlighted sections for your review. Areas with lower confidence scores are marked in yellow. Click any section to edit, add measurements, or insert standardized phrases from your template library.

4

Finalize and sign

Once reviewed, click 'Finalize' to lock the note. Morgan runs a final compliance pre-check, verifying all required fields are complete, CPT codes are supported by documentation, and the 8-minute rule is satisfied. Sign the note to complete documentation.
