Setting Up Fax Integrations

Configure PRACTIS to receive, process, and route incoming faxes — including referrals, authorization responses, and medical records.

Enable fax processing

Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Fax. PRACTIS provides a dedicated fax number for your practice. Incoming faxes are automatically digitized, classified, and routed to the appropriate workflow.

Configure routing rules

Set up rules for how different fax types are routed: referrals go to the Referrals queue, authorization responses go to the Auth Center, medical records go to the patient's chart, and unclassified faxes go to the general inbox.

AI-powered data extraction

PRACTIS uses AI to extract structured data from incoming faxes: patient demographics, referring physician information, diagnosis codes, and authorization details. Extracted data is pre-populated into the appropriate forms for your team's review.
