In Detail

There are two types: Type 1 (individual provider) and Type 2 (organization). PT practices need both — individual NPIs for each treating therapist and an organizational NPI for the practice. NPIs must be included on all claims, referrals, and prior authorization requests. PRACTIS stores and automatically populates NPI numbers across all billing and authorization workflows.
